About Tori Mason, UX/UI Designer

Website-AboutMe.png

Tori started her career as a marketer with a focus on graphic design. She helped companies improve their brand messages through logo updates, increased social media presence, and enhanced websites with SEO value and stronger visual design. She also took an interest in website accessibility as she is a firm believer in the importance of inclusive design

When Tori was 23, she decided to build a tiny house on wheels with no prior experience in construction. Despite her lack of knowledge in woodworking, plumbing, electrical work, and the tools needed to get that all done, she persisted in building one day at a time. People who know Tori describe her as determined and versatile, and her tiny house is evidence of that.

Between her passion for design and her curiosity to learn something new, Tori found her calling when she stumbled upon UX/UI design.

Her innate curiosity makes her well suited for UX design, and her marketing and graphic design degree help ground her as a  UI designer. Tori is also an empath and has a strong drive to help people. By switching careers from marketing to UX/UI design, she utilizes her versatility and marketing skills to curate user-friendly visual design solutions.

Tori is also working on improving her accessibility knowledge, strengthening her visual design skills, and asks as many questions as possible. She has experience conducting user research, constructing wireframes, and creating interactive designs, product designs, and front-end web designs. As a UX/UI designer, Tori has already created solutions for the airline industry, museums, non-profits, and more.

Tori holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and entrepreneurship with a minor in graphic design from The State University of New York at Plattsburgh and a certificate in UX/UI design from Springboard.
